What are Easy Ship shipping settings?

Easy Ship shipping settings are configured inside Seller Central for products fulfilled via Easy Ship. You set customer-facing shipping rates by zone. Amazon decides the shipping time and region mapping based on transportation capability and your pickup PIN code.

These settings apply only to Easy Ship eligible products. If no shipping rates are entered, Amazon may apply free shipping by default.

How Easy Ship zones work

Amazon applies one zone-specific rate at checkout depending on pickup and delivery locations:

  • Local: Customer PIN code is near your pickup address (typically same city / intracity movement).
  • Regional: Shipment is inside the same broad region, but not in the local city.
  • National: Shipment moves across regions.

Regional mapping used in Easy Ship

RegionCoverage (as documented)
Region 1Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh - Zone A, Uttarakhand
Region 2Dadar and Nagar, Diu and Daman, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra
Region 3Andaman and Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep
Region 4Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh - Zone B, West Bengal

Uttar Pradesh is split into two shipping zones for this setup. Zone B includes Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Basti, Devipatan, Gorakhpur, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, and Varanasi divisions.

How to edit Easy Ship shipping settings

  1. Open Seller Central and go to Settings → Shipping Settings.
  2. Choose the Easy Ship tab.
  3. Click Actions on the right, then select Edit.
  4. Update rate model and rates for Local, Regional, and National zones.

Shipping time and shipping regions are controlled by Amazon for Easy Ship orders. Sellers can edit rate models and rates, but not those system-defined timelines or region assignments.

Rate models you can choose

  • Per item / weight-based shipping: Charge per item and/or weight logic.
  • Price-banded shipping: Charge based on order price slabs.

Easy Ship B2B shipping settings

B2B orders can use separate rate models and rates from consumer orders. This is useful when business buyers place heavier or bulk orders.

  • Per item / weight-based shipping
  • Price-banded shipping
  • Weight-tiered shipping (B2B only): You define weight tiers, each with a specific rate. Amazon uses total order weight to apply the tier and per-shipment amount.

Example: Bangalore seller setup

Consider a seller in Bangalore (PIN 560001) using Easy Ship for mobile phones, accessories, and televisions with these standard delivery rates:

How customers see charges based on destination:

Best practices before you finalize rates

  • Enter rates for all three zones to avoid accidental free-shipping defaults.
  • Model profitability by zone before publishing rates — the shipping cost calculator helps.
  • Audit B2B rates separately if your business orders are heavier.
  • Review shipping fees whenever product mix or pickup location changes.
  • Track conversion changes after rate updates and adjust in small steps.

Final rate check before publishing

Easy Ship shipping settings are not just a backend formality. They are a growth lever. When Local, Regional, and National rates are mapped correctly, your checkout remains transparent, your margins stay safer, and customers receive realistic delivery promises.
